About this experience
You will visit two completely different natural places in Armenia: be inspired by the beauty of the largest lake in the Caucasus and appreciate the landscapes of the green valleys of Dilijan. At the brewery, you will see the process of making beer using the famous water of Dilijan. And at the Hagartsin monastery, you will get acquainted with an outstanding monument of medieval Armenian architecture.
What to Expect
Lake Sevan
From the best viewpoints, you will explore Armenia's most famous natural attraction. You will have lunch overlooking the lake and have the opportunity to buy smoked Sevan fish.
Dilijan, or Armenian Switzerland
You will drive through a 2-kilometer tunnel, see how different the nature of Sevan and Dilijan is, and appreciate the variety of local landscapes. Walking through the cozy streets, you will recall the movie 'Mimino', which brought the city wide fame. And we will talk about the history of the mountain-climatic and balneological resort.
Dilijan brewery
'Here in Dilijan, when you turn on the water in the kitchen - it is the second best place in the world! - And the first one in Yerevan, right? - No, in San Francisco'. So, it is on this water that they make excellent beer here. And how - you will learn on a tour of the brewery workshops. You will be shown almost all stages of the drink production and offered to taste it.
Hagartsin Monastery
You will also visit one of the most famous, valuable, and photogenic monuments of Armenian medieval architecture. We will tell you about the past of the monastery complex from the 9-10th centuries and its sanctuaries. And nearby, in a cozy bakery, you will taste delicious Hagartsin gata with various fillings.
During the journey, we will not rush you - you will calmly enjoy each of the places, walk around, and take pictures.
Organizational Details
- Included in the price: transfer to/from the center of Yerevan, guide assistance, brewery tour with tastings
- The trip is carried out in Buick crossovers, Jeep Cherokee, or Toyota Camry, Kia Optima sedans
- We will pick you up from your address in the center of Yerevan and return you after the tour. If you live in another district, based on an agreement: if your hotel is on the way, we will pick you up, if not - you will need to reach the Republic Square.
