What to expect
Nature, history, legends, and tastes of Lake Sevan
In the center of the Armenian Highlands lies the azure lake, protected by mountain ranges - you will fall in love with the beautiful views of Armenia at first sight. On the way, I will tell you about the name of the lake and the historical battle on Lake Sevan, which marked the beginning of the liberation of the Armenian kingdom from Arab rule, as well as share the legend of the prince's daughter, the beauty Tamara, - an island on Lake Van is named after her, which today is located in Turkey. Of course, you will visit the Sevanavank monastery on the lake peninsula, where you will enjoy the harmony of natural and man-made and hear the highlights of the sanctuary's millennia-old history.
After exploring the monastery, you will have lunch at a restaurant by the lake and taste the famous Sevan trout and kebab made from crayfish necks.

In the second part of the journey, we will continue to the north through a mountain tunnel. And before you will appear a medieval monastery, hidden among the wonderful Dilijan forests. You will immerse yourself in the soothing atmosphere of Agartsin and feel like residents of ancient Armenia, while I will tell you about the name and fate of the monastery.
