About this experience
Have you already tried khinkali, visited the symbols of Tbilisi, and tasted the local wine? It's time to delve into the hidden, most atmospheric part of the city - the Sololaki district. We will guide you through ancient entrances with surviving paintings, affluent houses, and courtyards. And afterwards, you will find yourself in a noble flat, where over tea with homemade khachapuri, you will hear touching stories of Tiflis.
What to Expect
Expedition through the Parade Sololaki
From the first minutes of the meeting, our immersion into 19th century Tiflis will begin. Together with the artistic guide, you will leisurely stroll through the Sololaki district - its unique courtyards and streets, affluent houses, and grand mansions. We will visit 5-6 of the most beautiful and inaccessible ancient entrances. Elegant paintings, wrought-iron staircases, authentic furnishings - not a single detail will escape our attention. And we will complement the visual beauty with interesting facts about old Tiflis.
Tea and Khachapuri - in an early 20th-century flat
And now let's delve even deeper into the Tbilisi life of the past century: we will visit a historic apartment of the Kalamkarov family, whose hostess carefully preserves archival photos and stories of her kin (and also prepares excellent khachapuri - but more on that later).
In the apartment, we will examine the rare Alfrey frescoes, miraculously preserved finishes, and interior items from the Art Nouveau era. And through these details, we will try to imagine how the wealthy townspeople lived over 100 years ago.
At the end of the meeting, we will have a tea party with homemade sweets and khachapuri: the hostess of the apartment will share stories about the communal resettlement, difficult times, and people who once lived or simply visited these walls. So, as a memory of our meeting, you will have not only colorful photos but also touching stories from a bygone era.
Organizational Details

Wonderful guide, interesting presentation of material, tea party in the old apartment is marvelous! But the area itself is run-down, poor, maybe there is a charm in it, but not everyone appreciated it!

Georgy's story about the city is very interesting. Of course, you can read material online and go search for places on your own, but I highly recommend this tour, as Georgy will tell and show things that you simply wouldn't notice and walk past. Also, you can't just walk into the grand entrances. Ma...
