You will discover the blend of civilizations, the intertwining of European and Asian influences, narrow streets next to luxurious palaces.
Walking route
- Balat — the oldest district of Istanbul, formerly a Jewish quarter, where the secrets of the distant past will be revealed to you.
- Basilica Cistern — a unique reservoir of the 4th century, resembling a palace complex in some way. We will visit it without waiting in line as part of the tourist group (tickets are included in the price).
- Pierre Loti Hill and cable car — a popular viewing platform in Istanbul, where you can admire the city view and enjoy a fragrant Turkish tea (ascent is included in the price).
- Taksim and Beyoglu districts — a walk along Istiklal Avenue surrounded by old buildings, temples, museums, and shops.
- Galata Tower — a historical monument and observation deck.
- Tunel Funicular — one of the world's oldest underground lines.
- Galata Bridge — the final viewpoint on our route, from where you will overlook the panorama of the Golden Horn bay.
Organizational details
- I or another guide from our team will conduct the tour for you.
- Bus transfers are provided from hotels in tourist areas of the city: Sultanahmet, Lalali, Beyazit, Sirkeci, Eminonu, Taksim. It takes about 30-40 minutes off the total tour time for guest pick-up.
- Entrance tickets to the Basilica Cistern, Galata Tower, and cable car are included in the price.
