About this experience
Cannes is famous for its luxury, elegance, special natural beauty, and, of course, the annual film festival. You will visit the most 'star-studded' place in the city, take a boat ride to the Lérins Islands, and discover their connection to Leonardo DiCaprio. You will also explore an abandoned monastery, admire the island from a height, and truly immerse yourself in its mysterious atmosphere.
What to Expect
Cinematic Heroes
You will visit the Palais des Festivals, where the Cannes Film Festival red carpet is held annually. I will show you the building from the best angle, reveal details of its construction and unique architecture. You will walk along the Walk of Fame and see the handprints of celebrities, followed by a small photo session on the palace steps.
Secrets of Lérins Islands
We will then take a boat ride to the Lérins Islands. You will enjoy views of the city and coastal areas from the water, and on the way to the island of Saint-Honorat, you will learn about a mysterious figure imprisoned nearby. On the island itself, we will recall the film 'The Man in the Iron Mask' with Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role. We will also discuss myths and legends of the island and reveal its main secrets.
Residents of the Abbey and the Abandoned Monastery
I will introduce you to the monks of Lérins Abbey—the only residents of the island of Saint-Honorat. We will visit the abandoned old monastery, where you will be impressed by the sense of seclusion and the bloody history of this place. You will climb the main tower, explore the expanses of the island from a height, and, if desired, visit the active cathedral. During the walk, we will make short stops to admire the landscapes, enjoy the scent of evergreens, take a swim, and take photos.
