About this experience
Join me at Boso-no Mura - a park-museum where you will immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Edo period. Life is bustling here - people engage in crafts, harvest crops in the fields of peasant lands, and prepare dishes from a 19th-century recipe book. Optionally, you can transform into a samurai or merchant, try making chopsticks or rice cookies, and discover traditional games.
What to Expect
- On the vast museum grounds, you will stroll along a shopping street from the Edo era, visit a samurai house, and three peasant farmsteads. You will also play the Japanese drums - taiko - on the festival square.
- If you wish, you can try traditional crafts - make chopsticks, mold a maneki-neko figure out of papier-mache, or fry sambei rice cookies. And participate in Japanese children's games.
- You can also dress up in a costume appropriate for that era. Ninja, samurai, merchant - you can be a person of any social class.
