On Ural Motorcycle with Sidecar - Through the Vineyards of the Penedes Region

What to expect

• We will meet at the suburban train station in Castelldefels, just 30 minutes away from Barcelona
• We will ride a motorcycle on winding paths of the Garraf Park and then to the picturesque valley, where many vineyards of the Penedes region are located
• We will pass through the main vineyards - Albet I Noya, Lloprat, Codorníu
• You will discover Tempranillo with its rich berry notes, explore the aromatic world of Garnacha that creates strong red wines, get to know grape varieties like Macabeo, Parellada, and Xarel.lo essential for producing sparkling Cava
• I will tell you about the characteristics of each variety, explain how the climate and soil of Penedes affect the taste and aroma of the berries, making the wines of this region truly unique
• I will show the differences between industrial and family wine productions
• Along the way, we will have a picnic - I will prepare wine for tasting and, of course, Catalan tapas: cheese, olives, tomato toasts, and more
• If you wish to have a more substantial meal, I know several places where you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of local cuisine

To avoid tiring you on the way back on the highway, I offer the following options:

• Finish the trip a short walk from the last vineyard on the route, Codorniu, at the suburban train station of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia - from where you can reach the center of Barcelona
• Continue the journey to the beach in Castelldefels or Sitges, where you can refresh in the sea and have dinner at a local authentic cafe

• The price of the tour includes the services of a guide, motorcycle transfer, tasting of 1 bottle of Champagne/white/red wine of your choice, light snacks (cheese, olives, etc.)
• An additional lunch at a local cafe can be paid for optionally. Along the vineyard route, you can buy wine
• I do not recommend this tour for children under 12 years old. Children aged 12 and older can sit in the sidecar or behind the driver
• I am a professional photographer. I will be happy to share with you the shots I will take during our trip

How to get from Barcelona to Castelldefels:

From Passeig de Gràcia station - by R2 or R2S train in 30 minutes. The ticket costs a few euros.

How to get back to Barcelona:

• From Sant Sadurní d’Anoia station - by R4 train in 50 minutes
• From Castelldefels or Sitges - by R2 or R2S train in 30-50 minutes
• The road from the Codorniu vineyard to Castelldefels will take 1 hour 15 minutes, to Sitges - 45 minutes
