The program does not include typical tourist bars and pubs which you can easily find near your hotels. With a guide, you will venture beyond the Old City and visit districts renowned for their nightlife. You will stroll through vibrant, lively, and authentic streets, visit establishments where locals unwind, and sample drinks at reasonable prices.
What to Expect
Istanbul Nightlife
Our guide— a Russian-speaking lady— will meet you at your hotel and take you on public transport to the Beyoglu district. The route will lead you through secret alleyways with numerous bars and pubs. You will see venues where groups traditionally gather for a glass of raki. You'll become acquainted with the culture of meyhanes— Turkish taverns. And visit the dodgiest corners of these neighborhoods.
Alcohol Trip Tailored to Your Preferences
You can inform in advance what type of alcohol you prefer— and you will be shown the best locations. For example, if you are interested in beer, the guide will take you to an Irish pub with the most authentic draft beer. You can try different drinks or solely focus on cocktails. If desired, we can also visit local nightclubs.
Careful Strolls
As the main goal of the tour is to introduce you to different locations, we will walk a lot so that everything can unfold. But, if immersing yourself in the nightlife makes your head spin, and returning to the hotel by public transport doesn't seem like a good idea, the guide will help you call a taxi.
Safety
The walk takes place in bustling yet safe areas. To have a comfortable journey, it is sufficient to follow the simplest etiquette rules, use common sense, and not engage in conflicts with other patrons of the establishments.
Organizational Details
- Not included in the price: public transport fare, alcohol, and snacks (including for the guide if you want them to accompany you in tastings). Alcohol prices here are lower than in tourist areas.
- Considering the specificity of the tour, we cannot stress enough the importance of adhering to decency rules. If the guide's personal boundaries are violated, the tour will be terminated, and no refunds will be given.
- It is prohibited to film on some streets— you will be warned.
- One of our team's guides will conduct the tour for you.
