About this experience
In summer, it is hot in the stone city during the day, and there are crowds and crowds in tourist spots - near the Matyás Church, at the Fisherman's Bastion. That's why - night. We start at sunset, climb up to the Castle Hill, walk through the narrow, shadow-drenched streets of Buda... And against the backdrop of the blue sky, the lights of the Parliament light up, the night flowers smell, there is silence, and the stars. A couple of restaurants on the top are open until midnight - just so you know.
What to expect
The tour territorially is not very extensive - only Buda, only Castle Hill. Here, apart from stories and legends, the main thing is the spectacle. Pest should be viewed at the moment when the sky is filled with deep blue, and the setting sun ignites the windows, roofs, and paints the walls with a thick, jam-like pink color. By the way, here it turns out that the main function of the Fisherman's Bastion is to serve as a frame for the landscape of Pest, which the cameras of photo cameras are aimed at. During the day, among the pushing tourists, you cannot see such a sight and cannot take such a shot.
And on the narrow streets and near the castle walls, many monuments are discovered, each with its own history. And these streets in the deepening darkness look so that the figure of a monk crossing the road under the ringing of a church bell will not surprise anyone, and is it not Matthias Corvinus who walks along the pavement, and is it not Suleiman the Magnificent going to storm Buda?
And when night falls, the spotlights will pick out the spire of the Matyás Church from the darkness, and the Danube, visible from above as in the palm of your hand, will trace the glowing lines of bridges, and it will not be so easy to distinguish where the city lights end and where the heavenly stars begin.
