About the organizer
Teachers taught me to 'read' architecture. Students — to talk about it. I am an art historian by education, a teacher by work experience, and for ten years now — a guide to the beautiful city and an author of books about Hungary. In 2013, my guidebook to Budapest was published by Afisha publishing house. And in 2016, the NLO publishing house released my second book — 'The Triumph of the Red Geranium.' Here, the focus was not on landmarks, but on what they mean for the history of Hungary, for its culture, for us. This book was followed by another, written in collaboration with colleagues, about Budapest cafes, their customs, and traditions. The recent book 'Seven Keys about Pest' tells the story of Hungary (and, therefore, Europe) as it is reflected in Budapest architecture. And here it is unexpectedly magnificent and remarkably eloquent.
