About this experience
As befits ancient cities, the capital of Armenia holds its secrets and mysteries. I have long been collecting Yerevan legends, spooky stories, and amazing histories. During the walk, you will learn the most interesting and intriguing tales. In squares, parks, and near monuments in the heart of the city, I will tell you about the dormant dragon, the magical ghost of the 'Six' car, time warps–and that's far from all!
What to Expect
Mystical Yerevan
Our route passes through the historical part and covers several important landmarks. Along the way, you will hear many strange stories related to the capital and beyond. Some of them are shrouded in a sinister veil of the inexplicable, others are downright scary, and some are downright 'devilry'.
Here is a list of places (but not all) that we will look at from an unexpected angle
- Cascade Garden - the inner courtyard of the complex with works of modern sculptors, a favorite spot of locals and tourists
- Saryan Square - a cozy corner in the heart of the city, where a daily exhibition-sale of paintings by local artists takes place
- Surb Zoravor Astvatsatsin Church - a medieval temple that houses the remains of Saint Ananias, one of the 70 apostles of Christ
- Vishap Tunnel - a hidden, somewhat grim and colorful passage through rocks
- Republic Square - the central square of the city with singing fountains and governmental buildings
- Katoghike Church and St. Anna Church - an ancient building and a new temple with beautiful traditional architecture
