Once a trading port with warehouses and docks, today it is a cultural and administrative center of the city, impressive with its unique architecture and beautiful views of the bay.
What to Expect
Grand Minato Mirai
Minato Mirai is known for having one of the most beautiful urban developments in Japan. You will see the tallest residential building in the country - Landmark Tower - and admire the view of the bay with the luxurious sailing ship 'Nippon Maru'. You will walk along the picturesque and well-kept waterfront, examine the giant Yokohama Bay Bridge, appreciate the evening illumination of the area, and optionally take a ride on attractions in Cosmo World Park.
Yamashita Park and Chinatown
You will not only visit Minato Mirai, but also nearby interesting places. For example, Yamashita Park, stretching for 750 meters along the Yokohama shoreline and famous for its magnificent views of the sea and the city. Additionally, you will walk through Chinatown, climb an observation tower, and learn about Japanese rules and customs.
