What to expect
Ottoman ceramic painting originated in the 15th century at the sultan's court and shared fame with Chinese porcelain. It expresses the eternal beauty of nature and reflects the philosophy of the East. At the master class, you will learn about the history of Ottoman ceramics and different styles. You will see samples and works of modern Turkish masters and learn traditional painting techniques in practice.
Sessions take place in the historical center of Istanbul overlooking Hagia Sophia and within walking distance of major attractions. Professional masters will work with you. Classes are available for both beginners and those continuing their education. An important point - our guides speak not only Russian but also English and French.
Organizational details
- All necessary materials and tools for painting on tiles are provided on site and included in the price.
- At the end of the session, you will receive the finished product. If you have extra time (a few days), we can fire the tile you painted and then hand it over to you at our gallery.
- During the master class, we will offer you water and traditional Turkish tea for free.
