About this experience
People usually travel to Florence to touch art, romance, and the history of the Renaissance. To make your trip vibrant (in every sense!), I will organize a visit to a bookbinding workshop where you will learn how to decorate paper and create your own notebook. An experienced master, a connoisseur of Florentine craftsmanship, will assist you in this creative process.
What to expect
Exploring the thousand-year history of the city is most interesting away from the standard routes. To not only discover Florence from an unexpected angle but also acquire an unusual souvenir, come to the marbled paper master class. You will master the ancient craft technique and create a unique souvenir notebook to take home as a reminder of magnificent Florence.

- Story of marbled paper history
- Demonstration of painting methods and the traditional 'peacock tail' pattern
- Independent work under the careful guidance of the master and creation of a design
- Image transfer to paper - marbling
- Binding a notebook with the marbled paper you created
Organizational details
- The master class is available for adults and children from 12 years old - it will be interesting for everyone, regardless of age
- One of the local masters will work with you in the workshop. Communication takes place in English or Italian. If you need translation into Russian (by prior arrangement), this service is available for an additional fee on-site - 120 euros.
