It is difficult to meet a traveler who would not bring at least one silver item from the island of Bali. Tourist places are filled with jewelry stores. But is it worth buying jewelry if you can make it yourself? In a 3-hour master class, you will master all the stages of silver processing and create a ring according to your own sketch. And then you will proudly wear it and accept compliments!
What to expect
Invite you to a master class on traditional Balinese silver jewelry. You will get acquainted with the features of the material and tools. Under the guidance of a master, you will create a sketch of the future jewelry. After a little practice with a hammer, torch, and grinding machine, you will have a jewel of your own making in your hands.
How the master class goes
- We will meet you at one of our workshops. The first one is located in Ubud, just 7 km from the district center, and is located in a traditional Balinese house. The second one is in Sanur (Denpasar), which is easiest to reach for those who live in the southern part of the island. We will provide the exact coordinates after booking.
- Basic tools and consumables (5g of silver) are included in the cost of the master class
- If the weight of the finished jewelry is less than 5g, no additional payment is required. If the weight exceeds 5g, you will need to pay an additional 25,000 Indonesian Rupiah for each additional gram of weight.
- The master will teach you the basic techniques of silver processing and assist you at all stages. These include melting and forging, shaping and soldering, grinding and polishing.
