About this experience
The Palace of Versailles never ceases to amaze with the splendor of its interiors, the vastness of its spaces, and the whirlwind of names. What of this will be interesting to children? Everything - if you find the right approach! In the form of a quest, children will find out how and by whom the famous palace was created. They will walk through the halls, learn what the walls are silent about, tell stories about the sculptures, and also receive pleasant prizes.
What to expect
The children's quest tour in Versailles is a great idea to introduce lively kids to the most famous residence of the French kings. In a playful way, children will delve into the history of the palace's creation, learn details from the life of Louis XIV, and master the intricacies of palace etiquette.
In two hours, we will see the King's Apartments and part of the Versailles gardens. All quest tasks are somehow related to the rich decor of the palace and its architecture.
- In the palace halls, we will figure out the meaning of the numerous symbols on the walls and who all these people in the paintings are.
- In the gardens of Versailles, we will find surprises left here over 300 years ago by the king of gardeners, Andre Le Notre.
- Near the fountains, we will play with mythological associations and talk about gods, heroes, and frogs.
