About this experience
Noy Lake is one of the most astonishing places in Thailand. It is loved by migratory birds and local feathered inhabitants, with a total number exceeding 100,000. En route to the lake, we will visit a beach and an amazing temple. On-site, we will boat among the red and white lotuses, see water buffaloes, and recharge in tranquility. And on the way back, we will stop by a coffee plantation.
What to expect
- We will depart early in the morning and spend more than 5 hours on the road to the lake. If you wish, the guide will tell you about the history of Thailand and Phuket. If not, there are pillows and blankets in the car, so you can take a nap.
- In the village of Phang Nga province, we will stop for breakfast
- On one of the most interesting beaches of the Andaman Sea, we will take a stroll, enjoy the view of the mountains and neighboring islands, and take some photos
- In the cave temple with an underground river Wat Lan Tham, we will discuss its detailed history. In 1987, one of the monks found the cave he had seen in his dreams. Here he established a temple—one of the most revered sanctuaries by locals.
- At Noy Lake, we will enjoy a 2-hour boat ride, picturesque landscapes, feathered tenants, and wild water buffaloes. You will observe how fishermen on narrow boats set up traditional traps and catch fish.
- At the local market, where we will stop after the boat ride, you can buy souvenirs, clothes, and other goods, including handmade items made of marsh grass called krajood—woven bags, baskets, hats
- On the way back, there will be another stop for dinner
- At the viewpoint platform, you will relish the views of the lake
- At the coffee plantation, you will see how coffee and cocoa are grown and processed in home conditions. You can taste freshly brewed drinks for free.
