About this experience
I invite you to a walk where you will learn about the most interesting legends of Amsterdam. My tour is informative - myths and legends that do not correspond to historical facts will be both told and dispelled. Program
You will learn how Amsterdam was founded, how it grew and became a free city, at that time the most tolerant city in Europe and a haven for refugees from various corners of the continent. I will show you the secret churches of Catholics, French Huguenots, and the Portuguese Synagogue, miraculously preserved after the Nazi occupation.
I will also tell you about the West India Company, which once decided to buy the island of Manhattan. In addition, we will visit the former headquarters of the East India Company, and then I will show you the old seaport where expeditions set sail for faraway voyages.
