What to expect
The face of Amsterdam
I will introduce you to the main places of the capital, where I will briefly tell you about the chronicles of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. You will visit:
- At the central Dam Square and the Royal Palace, the former Town Hall. Today, there are many street artists here, and I will definitely tell you about past events.
- At the New Church - a Gothic beauty from the Middle Ages. You will learn why this place is one of Amsterdam's symbols.
- In the Beguinage courtyard, where you will feel the atmosphere of calm and silence, and I will touch on the topic of the city's hofjes (almshouses).
- At Rembrandt Square: here you will meet the characters from the 'Night Watch' and the most interesting facts from the artist's biography.
Labyrinth of diversity
Amsterdam's canals resemble a network in which local oddities are entangled. You will see the two narrowest houses and the floating flower market, where the head spins from the sweet scents most of the year. You will walk through the 'gates of the 15th century' - the medieval market square, imagining how trade once briskly flowed here. I will take you to the most beautiful Buddhist temple in Europe, show you unique wooden houses, a magnificent bridge across the River Amstel, and many other surprises of the capital.
