About this experience
Take a walk in this unique city in southwest London. Kingston has seen the coronation of 7 Anglo-Saxon rulers, and in the early 20th century, it was designated as the first royal borough of England. We will explore the main attractions, discuss monarchy, architecture, and religion, visit the farmers market, and end our day with a picnic on the picturesque banks of the Thames.
What to expect
Kingston Walk
You will see the oldest exhibit in the heart of Kingston - the famous Coronation Stone, which was the main attribute of all royal ceremonies. Enjoy the architectural perfection of the Guildhall, now housing the administration of Kingston, and visit the Church of All Saints, built a thousand years ago. There we will talk about the features of modern religious rituals, and if we're lucky, witness a morning or evening service.
Picnic by the Thames
We will definitely visit the market square, where farmers from different parts of England enthusiastically advertise their produce. Personally, I never leave here without making a purchase. I don't know if you will succeed... I suggest ending the walk with a small picnic on the banks of the most beautiful river in Britain - the Thames. With a glass of Italian wine, snacks of French cheese, Spanish oranges, and strawberries, I will tell you about the big and small secrets of the challenging yet wonderful life in London.
