About this experience
Khujand is one of the oldest cities in Central Asia, located on the Great Silk Road. You will walk along the picturesque embankment, visit the historical and ethnographic museum, and explore the eastern market. Appreciate the magnificent ancient mausoleum and take a stroll in the favorite park of the locals. And I will share the history, traditions, and legends of the city.
What to expect
Park of Culture and Recreation. You will stroll along the wide green alleys, admire art objects, and artificial reservoirs. You will also hear poems by the romantic poet Khujandi on the local radio, in honor of whom the park is named.
Kamoli Khujandi Museum. You will see artifacts related to the ancient civilizations of Sogdiana and Bactria. As well as exhibits revealing the Islamic culture and history of Tajikistan.
Embarkment of the Syr Darya River. I will reveal the amazing secrets associated with it.
Panchshanbe Market. A visit to the eastern bazaar is essential for the Khujand experience! It is always very colorful and noisy here, as not only the city residents come for shopping, but also guests from the nearby villages.
Mausoleum of Sheikh Muslihiddin. You will appreciate the large memorial ensemble erected on the tomb of the 12th-century ruler of the city.
