Khujand is a city that remembers Alexander the Great and countless caravans of the Great Silk Road. We are sure it will amaze you! You will visit the vibrant eastern bazaar - the largest market in all of Tajikistan. Explore the ruins of fortresses and architectural monuments from the 16th century. And be charmed by the quiet streets and ceremonial ensembles reminiscent of Petropolis.
Program and timing of the trip
- 08:00 - Meet with the driver in Tashkent (at the reception desk of your hotel, at the airport or at the railway station)
- 08:30–10.00 - Transfer to the border crossing point "Oybek" (120 km)
- 10:00–10:30 - Passing through customs and passport control
- 10:30–11:30 - Meeting with the driver at the Tajik post. Transfer to Khujand (80 km).
- 11:30–13:30 - Sightseeing tour of Khujand
— Arbob Palace - an exact copy of the building in Petropolis
— Khujand Fortress (7-8th century) and archaeological museum
— Orthodox Church of Mary Magdalene (1884)
— Theatre Square
— Mosque and mausoleum of Sheikh Muslihiddin
— Panjshanbe, the famous eastern bazaar
- 13:30–14:30 - Lunch
- 14:30–15:30 - Return to the border crossing point "Oybek", passing through passport and customs control
- 17:00 - Arrival in Tashkent

- The excursion in Khujand will be conducted by one of our experienced guides. The drivers accompanying the transfer speak basic Russian.
