About this experience
I often hear that travelers get lost in the mazes of Mykonos and miss the most interesting things. With me, you will see the wonderful island as you expect it: you will admire the best views of the famous windmills, relax in Little Venice, stroll through the flowering postcard-like streets. And all this - in a friendly format with stories about the past and present of Mykonos.
What to expect
The most important and beautiful on the island
Let's start the walk with the Old Port, where colorful boats are moored. If we meet in the morning, we will visit a colorful market, where farmers display fruits and vegetables. From there we will walk to the church of Panagia Paraportiani, the most photographed in the Mediterranean. It inspired Gaudi - you will understand the architect by looking at this place!
You will fall in love with Little Venice at first sight, a district of houses above the water, where today there are many bars and restaurants. On the balcony of one of them, we will have a cup of coffee and talk about the Greeks' love for this drink.
Along the sea edge, we will reach the windmills - the symbol of Mykonos. And next, I will lead you through the labyrinths of the Chora streets, with idyllic white houses in flowers. If desired, we will walk along the souvenir street and end the tour on the waterfront.
Mykonos yesterday and today
Against the backdrop of the most beautiful places, I will tell you about the origins of Mykonos and reveal the secrets of the neighboring island of Delos. You will remember Apollo and Artemis, learn about the Cyclades archipelago, about the new development of Mykonos and its differences from other Greek islands. And I will gladly share observations about life in Greece from within, about the mentality of the Greeks, their traditions, and holidays.
