What to Expect
Aromas of the Italian Market
Gastronomic life in Rome cannot be imagined without the local market - that's where we will head first. Juicy red tomatoes, fresh greens, mandarins, and lemons - you will learn about the products that were on the stalls in ancient Rome and how the food culture developed in the 3rd century BC.
Tasting of Seafood Delicacies
Next, we will visit a colorful fisherman's shop, where you will taste the freshest oysters or lobsters. The fishermen will personally prepare a tasting for you. And with a glass of cold wine, you will feel the true taste of Italy! Here we will talk about which fish the Romans prefer now, and which ones were eaten a couple of thousand years ago in Ancient Rome.
Legendary Truffle
The unremarkable-looking mushroom will present you with a bright mixture of flavors of roasted seeds, walnuts, and pungent garlic. During the tasting of products with the addition of this aromatic mushroom, you will learn the history of the most expensive and 'exciting' delicacy.
All You Need to Know About Italian Cheeses
Young and aged, soft and hard, with a sharp aroma and delicate milky notes - like the best wines, Italian cheeses reveal their taste gradually and play with an aftertaste. In the cheese shop, you will taste real farm cheeses. You will learn about local cheese making and traditional dishes of the national cuisine that are impossible to imagine without cheese.
But that's not all! Get ready to fall in love with Sicilian cannoli, hot supplì, traditional pizza - the walk will give you a whole fireworks of flavors. Great tour with guide Elena. Had a great time. We tried local meat and cheese products, liquors and truffle sauces. Visited a cafe where they serve a hundred different types of tiramisu. We were very pleased with the tour and the communication. Thank you Elena!!!!
