About this experience
The best way to get to know a city is to taste it! Join me on a historical-gastronomic tour to authentic places in Rome. You will sample local meat and cheese delicacies and Italian wine. You will understand that Italian cuisine is not just pizza and pasta. And you will learn how locals manage to eat so much and not gain weight.
What to expect
City market and Roman pizza
We will start at the Campo de' Fiori city market. While enjoying slices of meat delicacies, delicious cheese, and a glass of wine in an old butcher shop, I will share the history of Roman cuisine. I will tell you what the emperors and ordinary residents ate in Ancient Rome, which dishes have survived to this day, and what is absolutely not eaten now.
You will also enjoy authentic Roman pizza. You will learn who and when invented it, how it differs from Neapolitan pizza, and why the queen of all pizzas is named Margherita.
Trastevere - all about wine and Italian cuisine
We will head to the lively Trastevere district, where we will explore Italian wines over a glass of white or red - how to choose them, which appetizer pairs with which wine. You can choose to taste pasta, appetizers, or gelato.
You will discover which dishes you must try in Rome, where the best coffee is, what an Italian aperitif is, and where the locals eat. And I will also reveal why Italians eat so much and do not gain weight.

Natalia started the food story off well, we drank wine, tried cheeses and meat, then went for pizza, and after that we went to t...
