About this experience
Istanbul can be explored endlessly: it holds a huge amount of secrets, legends, and amazing stories. I will help you dive into the past and present of this great city from the moment of its foundation. I will guide you through Byzantine, Ottoman, and Turkish streets. I will show both the main attractions and hidden corners. I promise it will be interesting!
What to expect
About Istanbul — fascinating!
On the main square of Sultanahmet, you will hear about the bronze horses stolen from Constantinople by crusaders. You will also discover how the architect Sinan managed to make the whole world revolve around Istanbul in the 16th century. You will enter the only mosque in the city built on a pool of water and learn the sad story of the children of Roxelana and Sultan Suleiman. Additionally, I will show you the Column of Constantine and tell you what secrets its foundation holds.
Malta in Istanbul
In the colorful district of Malta, we will have tea in the oldest bakery in the city. We will look at the Fatih Mosque and talk about the stonecutter who "mumbled" during its construction. We will climb to the observation deck, where there are practically no tourists, and admire Istanbul from a height. And that's not all! You will also walk through the local Elysian Fields, see the mosque of Sultan Yavuz, and try to guess why a dirty fountain has been lying on his grave for 500 years.
