About this experience
Do you want to explain painting in an accessible way to a child and instill love for it? Then I invite you and your children to an exciting walk dedicated to Van Gogh! You will visit places connected with his life and work. Get acquainted with his paintings and learn to better understand art. All this in an entertaining form with game elements: rebuses, charades, tests, and logic puzzles.
What to expect:
You will see:
- The quay of the River Rhone, where the artist painted one of his paintings
- Place Lamartine, where the 'yellow house' once stood
- Forum Square with the famous 'Van Gogh' cafe
- Former charitable hospital where the artist spent six months
You will learn:
- Why Van Gogh came to Arles and what works he painted here
- Why the 'yellow house' where he lived did not survive
- What the artist never depicted in his paintings, but saw every day
- What secret messages are hidden in his works
- In what technique Van Gogh painted and what is remarkable about it
- Why he ended up in the hospital and why he left Arles
