Saint-Paul-de-Vence
In the early 20th century, unique masters like Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Marc Chagall, Georges Braque, Paul Signac, Amedeo Modigliani, Fernand Léger lived and worked here... Besides the artists, the town was frequented by the cinematographic and literary elite. Among the medieval streets walked Yves Montand and Simone Signoret, Simone de Beauvoir, Jean-Paul Sartre, and many other famous personalities.
During the tour you will:
- see places associated with Marc Chagall, including his grave
- visit the town hall where Yves Montand and Simone Signoret got married
- learn the history of the famous restaurant-hotel 'La Colombe d'Or'
- enter the church adorned with paintings and frescoes by Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon
- visit the Le Capricorne gallery, where you will admire lithographs by Marc Chagall, Pablo Picasso, as well as works by other contemporary French and Spanish artists

- You can reach Saint-Paul-de-Vence by train and then by bus. The train ticket costs €3.3 and the bus ticket costs €2.5. Feel free to ask me for detailed route information. The meeting point in Saint-Paul-de-Vence will be confirmed.
- Visit to the Fondation Maeght Museum of modern art (optional) - €16/person. Museum hours: 10:00-18:00, July-August: 10:00-19:00.
