You will discover the sacred monuments of Vagharshapat - the ancient capital of Armenia, which became a significant Christian center for our people. Echmiadzin with the ruins of Zvartnots - one of the nine Armenian UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Learn about the history of the formation and development of religion. Explore one of the oldest Christian temples in the world. And then take a walk in a beautiful garden.
What to expect
Holy Echmiadzin
You will visit the main church of the spiritual capital of Armenia - the Echmiadzin Cathedral, built in 303 AD. You will see its ancient architecture and in the cathedral's museum, you will uncover the secrets of sacred stories and see relics of overall Christian significance, including the tip of the Spear of Longinus, one of the Instruments of the Passion.
Zvartnots Temple Ruins
You will be presented with a famous postcard view of the archaeological monument against the backdrop of Mount Ararat. We will tell you about the outstanding monument of early medieval architecture and the past of the 'Temple of the Vigilant Angels'.
Harbor Noy Park
To wrap up, you will stroll through a picturesque garden that combines cultures of different epochs and peoples.
If you get hungry, you can have a snack at the colorful eatery with a 300-year history.
