About this experience
Yala National Park is over 120,000 hectares of exotic vegetation, rare birds, and animals. You will see bears, mongooses, crocodiles, peacocks, and admire the beauty of the local nature. On the way to the park, you will visit an ancient fort built by the Dutch and Portuguese, and, if you wish, a turtle farm in a small village.
What to Expect
Ancient Fort and Turtle Farm (optional)
You will visit a 17th-century Dutch fort in Galle, the largest fortification built by Europeans in Asia. If you want, you can visit a turtle farm in the village of Gintota.
Safari in the National Park
Yala Park attracts a lot of travelers. Here you can see monkeys, elephants, deer, buffaloes, hyenas, leopards, bears, wild boars, crocodiles, armored animals, exotic birds, and a variety of tropical vegetation. In the evening, when the heat subsides, animals come out to the waterholes, and you can observe them from a close distance.
