About this experience
The Great Museum is a complex that includes several iconic buildings. It provides detailed information on the creation, transformation, and preservation of the main religious buildings in Florence. You will enter the cathedrals and wander through the archaeological area. You will see masterpieces by Donatello and Brunelleschi. You will hear what Michelangelo said about the end of life. And optionally, you can climb the bell tower or dome.
What to expect
In one tour — the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Baptistery of St. John, Giotto's Bell Tower, Brunelleschi's Dome, and the crypt of Santa Reparata with archaeological excavations. Seven centuries of Florence's spiritual and political history are represented in the works of masters such as Arnolfo Di Cambio, Ghiberti, Donatello, Luca Della Robbia, Brunelleschi, Verrocchio, Michelangelo.
Here you will:

- Learn why Florence houses the largest dome in the world and how it was built in the 15th century
If desired, you can independently climb Giotto's Bell Tower (423 steps) or the cathedral dome (463 steps).
