About this experience
The village of Giverny, located on the way from Paris to Normandy, became known worldwide thanks to the great Impressionist artist Claude Monet, who bought a house here and created a garden that captivates the imagination. You will visit an open-air Impressionism museum, walk along the paths of Monet, Renoir, and Matisse, see the legendary water lily pond, and enjoy the unique French landscapes!
What to Expect
Monet's Masterpiece Under the Open Sky
The main goal of our journey is the stunning garden in the village of Giverny, which Monet carefully created over many years. This creation of the artist is called an "open-air Impressionism museum": every corner here impresses with floral displays, color combinations, and play of light. Monet depicted the garden countless times on his canvases: flowers filling the space around the house, weeping willows, and, of course, water lilies, the artist's signature.
Georges Clemenceau was so impressed by the garden that he wrote in his brochure: "Claude Monet's garden can be considered one of his works, where the artist miraculously implemented the idea of transforming nature according to the laws of light painting."
Artist's Life in Giverny
You will walk along the paths where Monet, Renoir, Cézanne, Matisse, and other brilliant artists walked, touch the history of Impressionism, and see the Monet family's lifestyle from the inside. The artist's estate preserves a delicate creative atmosphere, personal belongings, family photos, and furniture. You will see how Monet lived and created, and understand why this corner of France became the birthplace of Impressionism.
