About this experience
This trip will open up to you the world of amazing cities, diverse landscapes, culture, and centuries-old traditions of the hospitable Uzbek people. You will see the historical sites of ancient Kokand: the palace of Khudoyar-khan, mosques, and madrasas. And also visit a pottery workshop in Rishtan and see ceramics that are exhibited at major world exhibitions.
What to expect
Wonders of the Fergana Valley
On the way to Kokand, we will pass through the continuation of the Tian Shan Mountains and the Kamchik Pass, where the road is at an altitude of 2268 meters above sea level, as well as a mountain lake, gardens, and fields.
Ancient Kokand
- The palace of Khudoyar-khan - the magnificent residence of the last rulers of the Kokand Khanate. You will discover the features of Central Asian architecture, admire the carved and painted patterns.
- Jami Mosque - the cathedral mosque on Chorsu Square. I will share its rich history and decipher the features of its architecture.
- Narbuta-biy Madrasa - the largest madrasa in Kokand. You will learn how the educational process was built in the madrasa and what sets it apart from regular school education.
World Center of Ceramics
Next in our program is one of the oldest cities in the Fergana Valley on the Great Silk Road. Rishtan city is the only ceramic center in Central Asia where ancient production traditions have been preserved. You will see 20 workshops, each with two floors. And you will see that none of them repeats the decoration of the other.

- From Tashkent to Kokand is 240 km one way. From Kokand to Rishtan is 40 km.
