About this experience
"Haven't seen Pamukkale - haven't been to Turkey!" I bet you don't want to be among the unfortunate ones they talk about, do you? Pamukkale is a must-see natural wonder. Venturing 300 km from Side, you won't regret it: you'll get to see the snow-white travertines, the grand amphitheater of Hierapolis, and the ancient jacuzzi - Cleopatra's pool, where you can swim among the bubbles.
What to Expect
You will have 3 hours of free time to leisurely explore everything.
- Cotton Castle - a literal translation of Pamukkale from Turkish. And indeed - from a distance, this natural wonder resembles a structure made of snow-white cotton. Numerous travertines are filled with thermal water at a temperature of 35 degrees. In certain areas, you can walk on the travertines after removing your shoes.
- Cleopatra's Pool. Imagine yourself in a large champagne jacuzzi: water bubbling, surrounded by ancient columns and reliefs. Inspiring, isn't it? The mineral water in the pool is rich in many beneficial elements. The maximum depth is 3 meters. You can swim among the bubbles and sunbathe in the portico.
- Ancient Hierapolis - one of the first thermal resorts in history. From the grand structures of ancient times, here remains a huge amphitheater and ruins of the Temple of Apollo. There is an archaeological museum on the territory of Hierapolis, regularly replenished with finds by historians.
