About this experience
The luxurious principality welcomes not only those arriving by private plane, yacht, or Rolls-Royce, but also those who come on a regular train from Nice, like you and me. You will explore the main symbols of Monaco, hear the history of the ruling Grimaldi family and Princess Grace Kelly, learn about the legendary Monte-Carlo Casino, and see the Formula 1 track where some of the world's most prestigious races take place.
What to Expect
Stroll through the historical center
You will visit the majestic Cathedral of Saint Nicholas, where the princely family was crowned. Learn about Monaco's patron saint, Saint Devote, and see the cathedral's main relic. At the burial place of Princess Grace Kelly, we will talk about the actress, princess, and style icon who influenced the principality's history. Near Prince's Palace of Albert II, we'll discuss the ruling Grimaldi family. I'll also tell you about the Oceanographic Museum, led by Jacques-Yves Cousteau for thirty years. I'll guide you to beautiful panoramic viewpoints and share interesting details about the local 'elite' prison.
Formula 1 Track and Monte-Carlo
You will then head to the section of the famous track framed by Port Hercules, where you will hear about one of the oldest and most prestigious races in the world. Take a walk through the picturesque district of Monte-Carlo, learn about the legendary casino and its traditions. After the tour, you will have thirty minutes of free time for a stroll or a coffee on the beautiful terrace of Café de Paris.
About Nice on the way back
On the way back from Monaco, I will share some stories from the life of Nice and give you tips from a local: where to go on your own, where to have a nice lunch, and where to find unique souvenirs to remember your trip. If you wish, you can stay in the principality and continue your exploration.
