About this experience
The luxurious principality welcomes not only those arriving on private planes, yachts, or Rolls-Royces, but also those who come by regular train from Nice, like you and me. You will visit the main symbols of Monaco, hear the history of the ruling Grimaldi family and Princess Grace Kelly, learn about the legendary Monte-Carlo Casino, and see the Formula-1 track where some of the world's most prestigious races take place.
What to expect
Stroll through the historical center
You will visit the grandiose Cathedral of St. Nicholas, where the princely family was crowned. Learn about Monaco's patron saint, St. Devota, and see the cathedral's main relic. At Princess Grace Kelly's burial place, we will talk about the actress, princess, and style icon who influenced the principality's history. Near the Prince's Palace of Albert II, learn about the ruling Grimaldi family. I will also tell you about the Oceanographic Museum, where Jacques-Yves Cousteau steered for thirty years. I will guide you to beautiful panoramic viewpoints and share interesting details about the local "elite" prison.
Formula-1 Track and Monte-Carlo
You will then head to the section of the famous track framed by Port Hercules, where you will learn about one of the oldest and most prestigious races in the world. Take a walk through the picturesque district of Monte-Carlo, hear about the legendary casino and its traditions. After the tour, you will have half an hour of free time for a stroll or a cup of coffee on the beautiful terrace of Café de Paris.
About Nice on the way back
On the way from Monaco, I will share several stories from the life of Nice and give tips from a local: where to go on your own, where to have a nice lunch, and where to find unique souvenirs to remember. Also, if desired, you can stay in the principality and continue your walk.
