Azerbaijan is ready to surprise you, are you ready? We will see several unique natural phenomena that are very rare on our planet. Expect Martian landscapes with colorful mountains, a salty pink lake, and the mystical mountain of desires - Beshbarmag. At the end, we will consolidate the result by having lunch on the shore of the Caspian Sea with a special local dish - kutabs with camel meat.
What to expect
Masazir Lake
Get ready to be amazed! From Baku, we will head to one of the world wonders - the salty Masazir Lake. It is not just salty: there are only eight lakes in the world with pink water, and one of them is in Azerbaijan. Depending on the lighting and salt concentration, the water here takes on various shades of pink. Magical photos are also taken here.
Beshbarmag Mountain
The next stop on the route is Beshbarmag Mountain, also known as the Mountain of Desires. This mystical place is surrounded by many legends. Although its height is just over 500 meters, no climber has yet been able to conquer the summit. The mountain allows pilgrims to climb to the cherished height only on a special staircase inside, not as conquerors. From the top, breathtaking views of the sea and nearby mountains open up. We will climb to the very top and make a wish (it will definitely come true).
Hyzy Martian Landscapes
On the way back to the city, we will see one of the rarest phenomena in the world: rainbow or agate mountains. Such formations are found in China and Peru. If you look closely at the ground, you can discover tiny fossils or even remains of belemnites (mollusks resembling squid) from the chalk period. The bright ending of the journey will be lunch on the shore of the Caspian Sea, where you can try a special dish - kutabs with camel meat. And many other dishes from the rich Azerbaijani cuisine.
