Perge - a journey through the centuries
Ancient city of Perge is a find for connoisseurs of ancient history. You will explore the ruins of the amphitheater and the temple of Artemis, and see what remains of the Roman baths, stadium, and gates. We will reveal to whom the city belonged in different eras, how it became the center of Pamphylia, and why it gradually declined during the Byzantine rule. You will also learn about Perge's connections to Lydia, Persia, the Seleucid Empire, and its relationship with Alexander the Great.
Majestic Aspendos and Kurşunlu Park
Aspendos is another fascinating ancient city. You will see the ruins of the basilica, hippodrome, and market square on its grounds and appreciate the aqueduct that supplied water to the city. You will also hear about Aspendos' ancient fame and the modern shows that were held at its stadium until recently.
