About this experience
Join us on an adventure to the natural wonders of Kazakhstan! Experience the breathtaking landscapes of the mountainous region, enjoy the views of the peaks of Zaili Alatau, and marvel at the turquoise Issyk Lake. We will also take an easy trek to the 30-meter Medeu Waterfall, capture colorful photos and videos along the way.
What to Expect
Our first stop will be Issyk Lake, one of the most beautiful lakes in the Almaty region, known as the 'natural diamond in a granite setting'. You will see it with your own eyes! During the Soviet era, this was an excellent recreation area visited by Khrushchev, Kunayev, and other high-ranking guests.
Next, you will embark on a trek to Medeu Waterfall, a natural monument where water has carved its way through monumental rocks. The waterfall is surrounded by cliffs on three sides, with water cascading down onto rocks, creating the tiniest of splashes... But it's too cold to swim!
Detailed Itinerary
07:30 - Departure from Almaty.
09:00-10:00 - Stroll around Issyk Lake.
10:00 - Departure to Medeu Waterfall.
11:15 - Start hiking to the waterfall, photo and video opportunities during the ascent and descent.
13:30 - Return to Almaty.
15:00 - Arrival in Almaty.
Organizational Details
- Included in the price: transfer in a comfortable SUV, professional driver, group first aid kit.
- Entrance tickets (eco-fees) of 500 tenge per person and meals (optional, you can bring your snacks) are not included in the price.
- Bring cash, a hoodie, cap, personal first aid kit, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
- Upon request, we can arrange a private tour exclusively for your group of up to 7 people. Price - 35,000 rubles.
- I or another guide from our team will lead the tour for you.
Format Highlights
- Please note that the trip does not involve extensive storytelling from the driver-guide. The main goal of the trip is to enjoy the natural locations to the fullest.
- Participants under the influence of alcohol or minors without adult supervision are not allowed on the tour.
Payment and Refund
- After making the deposit on the website, you must pay the remaining amount no less than 48 hours before the tour starts.
- If there are more than 72 hours until the tour and you want to refund, a 100% refund is possible.
- If it is less than 72 hours but more than 48 hours, you can exchange the ticket for another date.
- If it is less than 48 hours, refunds and ticket exchanges are not possible.
