About this experience
This journey is about craft, culture, and history of our country! Pottery is the oldest art, at the masterclass you will try traditional clay techniques and bring your creative ideas to life. At the Atashgah temple, you will learn about the rituals of this sanctuary. And at the Heydar Aliyev Center, we will tell you about modern culture and history.
What to expect
Pottery workshop (3 hours). Watch the master work with clay, learn about different methods of processing and decorating ceramics. Then choose your own project - a vase, bowl, sculpture, or other item - and immerse yourself in the world of shapes and textures, working with clay under the guidance of a ceramic artist.
Ateshgah (1 hour) - the fire temple, one of the symbols of the country. Here burns the sacred flame that should never be extinguished. We will tell you about its history and the significance of fire in Zoroastrianism. And also about ancient rituals that cleanse the soul. You will see the rituals that are still held in the temple.
Heydar Aliyev Center (3 hours). Exhibitions are held on each floor of the building - we will visit them to delve into the modern culture and history of Azerbaijan. We will visit the Heydar Aliyev Museum, where you will hear about the prominent politician and national leader. And we will definitely take great photos in front of the center - an architectural masterpiece!
Organizational details
- Transfer from the hotel and back is included in the price in a Mercedes Vito minivan (up to 6 passengers) or a Mercedes Sprinter minibus
- Additional expenses: lunch - 20-25 manat per person, pottery masterclass - 30 manat for adults, 15 manat for children, entrance tickets to the Heydar Aliyev Center - 15 manat, classic car exhibition - 10 manat (optional)
- The clay items made by you during the tour can be obtained within a week after firing
