About this experience
A journey along the southern coast in one day will reveal all the colors of Iceland's cosmic nature to you! You will hear the roar of powerful waterfalls surrounded by water mist clouds, walk along the slopes of the Sólheimajökull glacier covered in volcanic ash. You will observe the picturesque vistas at the romantic Dyrhólaey lighthouse and stroll on the black sand beach while listening to the ocean's melody.
What to Expect
Beauty and power of Icelandic waterfalls
Our first stop will be the 60-meter Seljalandsfoss waterfall: a broad path along the cliff will allow you to walk behind the waterfall and admire it from all sides - an impressive sight! You will enjoy the unearthly landscapes of the waterfall, pass through the water mist column rising above the cliff like smoke, and on sunny days, you will see bright rainbow rings above Seljalandsfoss. Another waterfall on our route is Skogafoss, 25 meters wide and 60 meters high, associated with the legend of the first Viking, Thrasi Thórólfsson, and an ancient ring. At the secluded Kvernufoss waterfall, where tourists rarely reach, you will relax from the city hustle and find yourself alone with Icelandic nature.
Ice and ash landscapes of Sólheimajökull Glacier
At the ancient Sólheimajökull glacier, you will encounter truly unique landscapes: here, the ice is covered with volcanic ash settling after eruptions, and the whimsical combination of black and white lines and areas mesmerizes and impresses.
Scenic Dyrhólaey Peninsula
Next, we will head to the Dyrhólaey Peninsula, where the traditional white-red lighthouse harmoniously complements the landscape. From the top of the cape, you will see oceanic waves and the black rocky arch, where ships and special amphibious vehicles come in. Moreover, Dyrhólaey is a true bird sanctuary: during the nesting period, you will encounter puffins - feathered symbols of Iceland - and other birds.
Cosmic landscape of the Black Beach
Over the Black Beach, one of Iceland's main natural attractions, volcanoes have worked hard: the entire coastline here consists of pure black gravel and black boulders. Esteemed publications have often recognized this beach as one of the most beautiful on Earth, and filmmakers frequently choose it for shooting fantastic movies, as the local landscapes are truly unearthly.

- The excursion takes place in a comfortable car with a guide who is eager to show you as many natural wonders of Iceland as possible!
- There is always drinking water, a thermos with hot water, and tea in the car.
- I also always bring a drone with me, and if desired, we can create a photo or video report from the trip.
- The excursion starts from your hotel, and I will either return you back or take you to another place of your choice afterwards.
