About this experience
The motto of the day of visiting the Papal thermal springs can be: 'Restore yourself and your well-being. Free your mind from outside thoughts and immerse yourself fully in the element from which you came into the world - the element of water.'
What to expect
In Viterbo, there are two thermal complexes equipped with pools, caves, thermal sauna, rooms for aromatherapy, inhalations, mud therapy (gray clay is used for direct mud therapy and white clay for cosmetic procedures). You can visit the pool of the Papal thermal complex (Terme dei Papi).
Today, the range of applications of thermal waters is very wide. They are used to treat arthritis, rheumatism, circulation in the limbs, respiratory organs, gynecological diseases, as well as to restore and rejuvenate the skin, and more.
The pool is open year-round and every day of the week, except Tuesdays, from 9 am to 7 pm. On Saturdays, the pool additionally opens at 9:30 pm and operates until midnight. Evening-night shows of movies are held outdoors. The depth of the pool ranges from 30 cm to 3 m. Showers, changing cabins, hairdryers - all this is available to visitors. The entrance ticket costs from 12 euros to 18 euros depending on the day of the week. The time spent in the pool is 3 hours. The cost of staying in the thermal pool for more than 3 hours is from 18 to 22 euros.
Upon your request, we can visit the 'wild' thermal springs outside the spa complex. The most famous ones are Bullicame and Carletti. They have the same thermal water, pools, and mud. The pool depth is about 70 cm. There is no possibility to take a shower after the pool. Free entrance.
Come to relax, unwind, and heal in the golden and magical waters of Viterbo 'Terme dei Papi'. Once you visit, you will definitely want to come back again.
