About this experience
There are things that are difficult to express in words, that's why wine tasting in cellars exists, where everything that doesn't fit into 1000 words becomes clear with one sip. I invite you to discover the mysterious soul of Italy and immerse yourself in true love for the exclusive Veronese wines, by visiting the wine cellars, securely hidden among the vineyards of elegant Valpolicella. You will try yourself as a sommelier, take a walk through picturesque surroundings, taste local wines and learn about their production, enjoying views of ancient villas and landscapes of Valpolicella.
What to expect
I invite you to embark on an enogastronomic journey accompanied by an official Russian-speaking guide from Verona and a certified AIS sommelier. We will leave Verona by car and head to the Veneto wine region. We will delve into the local winemaking, explore the vineyards of Valpolicella.
We will visit a villa surrounded by a sea of vineyards – where the Amarone wine was born. We will descend into the cellar of elite wines, where you can taste Amarone and the famous red wines of the Valpolicella area. We will talk about the organoleptic properties of Amarone, learn the technique of tasting red wines (color analysis, aroma, taste, etc).
We will stop for lunch at a local trattoria, which has been awarded the title of the best place in the world to eat pasta! If desired, before lunch, you can participate in a mini lesson on making pasta. ;)
A journey to Valpolicella is an exciting excursion into the world of Italian wines that will appeal to true gourmets.
