Witness the evolution of pyramids, from simple one-story tombs to massive 100-meter structures. Learn which animals were housed in the Serapeum and the original color of the Pink Pyramid. Optionally, descend into the ancient structures and hear all known versions of their creation.
What to Expect
Saqqara - the Oldest Pyramid and the Book of the Dead
You will see the step pyramid of Djoser - the oldest in the world. Optionally, visit the Serapeum - one of the most mysterious monuments of the ancient world. Discover why this pyramid is considered the tomb of sacred bulls and why no bulls were found there. You will also visit the pyramids of the 5th dynasty, where the first texts from the Book of the Dead were carved on the walls, and the Teti pyramid if desired.
Dahshur - the Bent Pyramid and the Pink Walls
You will behold the rhomboidal (also known as the bent and cut) pyramid, named so because of its irregular shape. It is believed that it was built by Pharaoh Sneferu - the father of Khufu. Here you will find the Pink Pyramid - we will explain why it was white before and at what moment it changed its color. Optionally, descend into it and explore from within.
Giza - one of the Seven Wonders of the World
At our final stop, you will appreciate how the skill of ancient builders evolved over time. You can touch the only one of the Seven Wonders of the World that has survived to this day - the Pyramid of Khufu. See the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, the Great Sphinx - the oldest monumental sculpture on Earth. Optionally, descend into the pyramids of Khufu and Khafre or one of them.

- We will pick you up from your place of stay in Cairo or Giza. If you are staying far away, we can arrange a transfer for an additional fee - from 15 to 25 €. Details can be discussed via correspondence.
- Transportation - a comfortable sedan car. Optionally and for an additional fee, it can be replaced with a minivan ($15) or van ($20).
