About this experience
Tallinn is not just the Town Hall and the Cathedral, but to see all the iconic sights, you will need a car. Traveling with me, you will see the city through the eyes of a local, hear many amusing stories and facts, and better understand the Estonian mentality.
What to expect
Business Center
You will be surprised, but Tallinn has its own 'City'! Modern glass and steel skyscrapers, high-tech hotels and conference centers, hundreds of restaurants, bars, banks, and shops - here you will see how different eras are intertwined in the city. Modern Tallinn has spread literally along the edge of the medieval one and absorbed both details of Soviet architecture and all the attributes of modernity. Nearby is the baroque Kadriorg Palace and Park Ensemble - one of the locals' favorite places, where, in addition to 'Peter's little house,' there is an art museum.
Voice of the Past
Driving a little further north, you will see the ruins of the St. Bridget's Monastery. I will tell you about the legend of its creation and the atypical feature of this women's monastery. And then, passing by the former Olympic facilities, we will reach the symbol of Estonian independence - Song Festival Grounds, where we will enjoy a magnificent sea panorama.
Heroes of Estonia
At the monument to the battleship 'Rusalka' on the waterfront boulevard, we will honor the memory of the fallen sailors and head back. On Freedom Square, you will get acquainted with the functionalism architecture and learn its significance to the locals. The tour will end by the walls of the ancient Toompea Castle, where the Estonian parliament now sits.
