Colorful Batumi - with a native Adjarian
About this experience
I won't hide it: it's impossible to see everything in Batumi in 2 hours. Our city can be explored for a long time. But I have put together a route for you from the main places that are worth seeing no matter what, even if you are just passing through. And if you have a lot of time to explore, this walk will be your support: you will learn the basic historical facts, understand how to navigate the city, and get a first impression of it.
What to expect
- Greek Church of St. Nicholas (19th century)
- Piazza Square with the largest marble figurative mosaic in Europe
- Astronomical Clock
- European Square surrounded by 19-20th century architecture
- Sculpture of Medea
- Fountain of Neptune
- Dancing Fountains
- Alphabet Tower - an original modern building reflecting the Georgians' love for their native language: the structure is wrapped with ribbons featuring 33 letters, visually resembling DNA
- Sculpture of Ali and Nino - a symbol of love
During our leisurely walk, you will get an idea of the city's rich history, vibrant culture, and the challenges it faces.
Organizational Details
- In case of rainy weather, the tour may be canceled, in which case the prepayment will be refunded
- If a large group gathers (30+ people), I use sound amplification equipment so you can hear everything

Thanks to the guide Malkhaz for an interesting tour of the main locations of Old Batumi and the embankment! Everything was fascinating, the group was small, 2 hours flew by unnoticed! I liked that during the tour Malkhaz communicates with the group, answers all questions.

I really enjoyed the tour, I recommend it as a great introduction to Batumi. The Guide answered all the questions I had during the walk around the city very thoroughly, with humor, local color, and a lot of information! Very polite. Thank you so much!
