Christmas Morning in the Heart of Rome - Small Group Walking Tour
About this experience
To capture the true spirit of Roman Christmas, we will meet early, avoiding crowds and crowded squares. We will explore the old Borgo district and, if desired, have breakfast in an authentic bar with traditional cornetti and cappuccino. You will see the main Christmas tree in the Vatican, learn about Italian presepe art, and fall in love with the magnificent Eternal City forever.
What to Expect
- We will visit one of the oldest and most atmospheric districts of Rome - the Borgo district. You will experience the rich history and unique atmosphere of the Eternal City, which shines even brighter on the eve of the holidays.
- We will see the main Christmas tree of the Vatican and the magnificent St. Peter's Basilica. If desired, you can visit it - for free, in line, with a guide and a short tour inside.
- We will see the Castel Sant'Angelo, from where a festive fireworks display is usually launched on New Year's Eve
- We will climb the famous bridge with sculptures of angels by Gian Lorenzo Bernini
- We will see the Gothic church of Rome and the largest Roman Palace of Justice - Palazzaccio
- We will head to the main New Year's square of the city - Piazza Navona with Christmas markets and an antique carousel

- The tour takes place during the Christmas and New Year period - from December to January 8, 2024
- Breakfast at the bar (if desired) is paid for separately
- The tour will be conducted by me or another guide from our team
