About this experience
We invite you to an exciting journey to one of the oldest Christian sanctuaries. The prayers never cease within the walls of the St. Catherine's church. Here lie the relics of the great martyr, a vast library of ancient manuscripts, and a unique collection of icons. We will see the Burning Bush and Moses' Well. We will recall stories from the Bible and touch upon the ancient history of these places.
What to expect
Monastic Complex
Located at the northern foot of Mount Moses, we will explore the Basilica of the Transfiguration, the bell tower, and the garden. Behind the altar of the basilica, we will see the monastery buildings from the 4th century. We will investigate Moses' Well and the Burning Bush, places mentioned in the Old Testament. Make a wish here - they say it will come true.
St. Catherine's Church
Adorned with marble and mosaics, the relics of the great martyr are housed in a shrine at the altar. The sanctuary also houses a vast library of ancient manuscripts - second in importance only to the Vatican's. Here, we will find a unique collection of 12 rare Christian icons from the 6th century, painted with wax colors. Additionally, we will see ancient bibles and church utensils.
Dahab
On the way back, we will stop at Dahab - the city of divers, windsurfers, and kitesurfers. After lunch at a seaside restaurant, you will have time to leisurely stroll through the city or go shopping. In shops or at the local market, you will find original interior items, teas, spices, aromatic oils, textiles, and jewelry.

06:30 - Departure from Sharm El Sheikh
07:30 - Stop at a gas station (coffee, personal needs)
09:15 - Arrival in the village of Saint Catherine, ticket purchase, and permission to visit the monastery
10:00 - Excursion in the monastery
12:00 - Departure from Saint Catherine
13:30 - Arrival in Dahab, lunch
14:30 - Walk in Dahab or shopping
15:30 - Return to the hotel
