What to Expect
In Search of the 'Formula for Success'
Recently, a diary belonging to Casanova's brother Francesco was found, claiming that Giacomo had delved so deeply into the basics of alchemy and 'animal magnetism' that he was able to derive the 'formula for success'. He hid this treasure somewhere in Venice during his final visit. 'It is necessary to find this formula before it is irretrievably lost or falls into the hands of the mafia,' wrote Francesco. Accompanied by an experienced guide, you will see Venice from a new perspective, learn many unexpected things, and attempt to locate Casanova's treasure.
A Journey Back in Time
You will embark on a journey through 18th century Venice—visiting places frequented by Giacomo Casanova. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a German merchant's house with majestic interiors, then head to the building where Casanova himself lived. Here, I will explain what sets this house apart from all the others and reveal some facts from the life of the famous heartbreaker.
We will then visit a real workshop where the secrets of the masks used by Giacomo will be unveiled. We will briefly stop at the Campo—a local square surrounded by a temple and a magnificent hospital. The documents you will find here will reveal Casanova's encounters with a nun from the island of Murano. We will conclude our adventure at the magnificent Church of St. Zacharias, formerly a female monastery.
