About this experience
Belgrade is one of the largest, most important, and popular cities in Southeastern Europe. I will tell you how its geographical location influenced it, what wars were fought here, and how deputies from three different states were treated in the local parliament. I will show you the local 'calling cards' and reveal which significant global events our city witnessed.
What to Expect
Belgrade from a Postcard
You will see iconic places of the Serbian capital: Republic Square, the National Theatre, the monument to Prince Mihailo, and the Hotel Moskva. You will discover which nations left a mark in the history of the ancient Kalemegdan Fortress and explore the preserved buildings from the 19th-20th centuries on the central pedestrian street. In Tasmajdan Park, I will show you the St. Mark's Church and the Russian Church of the Holy Trinity, where General Wrangel was reburied.
Diverse Belgrade
We will not overlook the St. Sava Temple — the largest Orthodox temple in the world by area. And other attractions of Belgrade: the Patriarchate House, Princess Ljubica's Residence, the Question Mark Restaurant, and the Parliament. I will demonstrate interesting scientific exhibits at the Nikola Tesla Museum, talk about the city's past and contemporary life, famous Serbian scientists, and local culture.
